Here's my musicy page! My musical taste is.... interesting? Exciting? Odd? There's so much that I like from so many varying genres, so you tell me what you think my musical taste is ;) But here's a collection of some of of my go-to tunes. Enjoy!
The Cure- To Wish Impossible Things
Okay, yes, I'm a rather big fan of the Cure. (Much to my sister's dismay, and to my mother's elation) This is one of my favorite songs of theirs :D
LANA. So much genius in one little lady. Words can't describe how gifted she is musically. What really won me over was her use of strings; if you know me, you know I'm a sucker for strings (especially cello) and she gets MAJOR POINTS for that! She's the kind of artist where you either love her or hate her, so I'll post a more mild (but still amazing) song to start off.
Interesting song. Me likey ;)
Gotta include this song :) Its wonderfulness is classic, and I shall never grow sick of this song. One of my favorites ever :)
Ella Mae Bowen- Holding out for a Hero
Ella Mae Bowen- Holding out for a Hero
Acoustic, slow dance-ish version of the classic Bonnie Tyler song. This is unique, and I really love it! Wonderful, simply wonderful ;)
AHHH!!!! Love this song :) Classic.... I've got my darling mother to thank for this one.
Gotta love Dion and the Belmonts :) Anna and I have dubbed this our theme song, for reasons unknown.... this song doesn't really apply to our friendship in any way, shape, or form, but we like to pretend a bunch of stuff anyway. This song is fantabulous.
....aaaaand more Dion! This song is so cute. Love :D
Haha. Going from the Dion to Led Zepp.... and yes, I do have a soft spot for some classic rock. (Please note, this is a PERFECT song to blast while deep-cleaning your room. Really gets you into the zone. No, but for real, this is an awesome song ;)
DIRE STRAITS!!!! The best. Whenever I listen to this song, I'm transported to my younger years, when my dad would play it and sing along, and I was like, hey, I DIG this! So I put it on my mp3 and have been hooked ever since. This is probably my favorite DS song. Heehee <3
More Dire Straits! Again, this song reminds me of being little and of my dad :)
Okay, I'll lay off Dire Straits after this =P Probably my second favorite song of theirs.
JEFF BUCKLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my musical loves <3 this man was a genius. I say 'was,' because he mysteriously drowned while making his second album- definitely gone before his time. He's a legend, in every sense of the word. I LOVE him. And this song :)
....and this song! I must have lilac wine one day and sing this song whilst drinking it.
Good 'un. Me likey :) Always ends up stuck in my head, hehe.
One of my favorite Coldplay songs. It used to make me cry every time I listened to it, and though I've since gotten beyond that, it's still a touching song. Love :)
Love Regina Spektor. This is a good song :)
Wonderful Regina song. Great to waltz too, as well! The lyrics are beautiful :)
Okay, I know it's covered by a man, but this is spectacular. A slower acoustic version of Cyndi Lauper's classic.
LOVE!!!!!! This song is so amazing! A good shower song. Well, a good anywhere song :)
Dean Martin + one of the most amazing songs ever = heaven. I love both him and this piece of music <3
Lana del Rey- Noir
Okay, this song was so weird to me when I first listened to it, but it's Lana-awesome.
Tom Waits- You Can Never Hold Back Spring
TOM WAITS. This song makes me happy :)
Fun.- Out on the Town
This is a cool song! Gets stuck in my head, but I liiike it :)
Brandi Carlile- The Story
Been one of my favorites for years. Love her voice!
